Hey everyone. Since a lot of you have been reading some of my tweets & facebook statuses I wanted to fill you in on what’s going on along with some other stuff so here’s the situation….
A few years ago, I had two surgeries performed on my left foot due to an injury I was born with. With the first surgery, my doctor had placed metal plates and screws in my foot to try to correct the issue. Everything was fine for a little while then the screws and plates started to irritate my foot again even more, making it tough to even walk. I then got another surgery performed removing all the hardware. For a while after THAT surgery I was fine…..up until a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago I started getting more and more uncomfortable sharp pain making it almost impossible to walk without it being unbearable. Recently I started going back to the doctor who did the prior surgeries and he told me that in order to correct the situation at hand for good I will need one more surgery. This surgery is a little bit more in depth considering what he has to do. He has to fuse 3 separate sets of my bones together in order to stop some if not most of movement in my foot permanently. The recovery time for this surgery will be up to 8 weeks or more, a few days in the hospital, and consist of a hard cast and crutches, a walking boot after that, and a few months of therapy to get used to the changes going on. My surgery date is set for some time before Christmas. (bummer, I know..)
Obviously the timing of this couldnt have gotten any worse considering the guys and I have been trying out new guitarists, talking about booking some brand new shows soon, and the release of the acoustic album coming up. I promise, I’ll do anything and everything I have to do to make this as speedy of a recovery as possible.
I love you guys to death and having your support will mean the world to me. Which brings me to ANOTHER thing….
A close friend of our family,
Girl, don’t rush yourself with the healing! We’ll all be here in 2 months or 2 years. And as for the other thing, I ,...
